One of Britain's foremost bird sanctuaries, the Point is a 3˝ml-long sand and shingle spit, noted in particular for its colonies of breeding terns and for the rare migrants that pass through in spring and autumn. Both common and grey seals can be seen, as well as an interesting range of seaside plants.

The magical marine world of Great Yarmouth SEA LIFE Centre will introduce you to many beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. Prepare for astonishing close views of everything from humble starfish to mighty sharks and giant sea turtles, all in displays which carefully recreate their natural habitats. Explore a rich variety of underwater environments, from rugged coastline to tropical coral, reefs, from the sandy shallows to the dark depths of the ocean.
The largest vegetated shingle spit in Europe, containing a variety of habitats including shingle, salt marsh, mudflat, brackish lagoons and grazing marsh. An important location for breeding and passage birds as well as for the shingle flora, which includes a large number of nationally rare species. The Ness was a secret military site from 1913 until the mid 1980s. Visitors follow a 5ml route, which can be walked in total or in part (the full walk involves walking on shingle). Other walks are open seasonally.

The Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is a delightful place to visit to enjoy the company of Owls and other birds of prey. Up to 3 flying displays daily from Easter to September plus Red Squirrels, Chipmunks, Ferrets, a woodland walk, picnic areas, garden centre & the famous Owl Barn Gift Shop.
ZSL Whipsnade Zoo stretches out over 600 acres of the Dunstable Downs, and is home to over 6,400 animals.
There's plenty to do at Whipsnade, with animal attractions, demonstrations, special projects like the Saving Seahorses initiative and live-action animal shows in the zoo's amphitheatre.
Britain's oldest nature reserve and a unique fragment of the wilderness that once covered East Anglia. A haven for birds, plants, insects and mammals alike, the Fen can be explored by the traditional wide droves and lush green paths, and there is a boardwalk nature trail giving access to several hides.
