White Scar Caves

White Scar Caves

Since the caves were open in 1925, they have been visited by people from all over the world. Evidence of the past abounds in the caves. In addition to fossils, there are rock strata and prehistoric dried mud pools: all these are records of a geological history that began some 400 million years ago. White Scar Caves are pure works of nature, not artificial creations, and that is the key to their appeal.
